CO132 Introduction to Linux/Unix

The LINUX/UNIX operating system for control of multi-user computer networks is studied. Students learn to use LINUX/UNIX commands to manage files, file systems, and file security. LINUX/UNIX shells will be studied, placing focus on the Bash shell. Editing text files using the Vi editor will be studied, in addition to learning how to use redirection and piping. An introduction to shell scripting will also be studied.
